Where conventional spherical lenses leave more spherical aberration, distortion, oblique astigmatism, and prismatic shift at the lens periphery, our 8-zone design is calculated to reduce all four together. The result: a wider area of clear vision — from the center through the near zone and into the peripheral field — compared to conventional spherical lenses. 8-Zone vs Conventional Spherical Lenses

Conventional spherical lenses use a single uniform curvature across the lens surface. This provides clear vision at the center — but when you look toward the lens periphery, optical aberrations become more noticeable. Spherical aberration can soften point light sources. Peripheral distortion can affect the appearance of straight lines. Oblique astigmatism may reduce clarity at the lens edges. Prismatic shift can be more noticeable with high prescriptions. The result: a narrower clear visual zone at the center, with more aberration toward the periphery compared to aspheric designs.
