How Progressive Lenses Work
Around age 40, the natural lens inside your eye starts to stiffen. Reading fine print gets harder. You hold your phone further away. Working at a computer becomes a strain. This is presbyopia — and it happens to everyone, regardless of whether you wore glasses before. The fix used to be bilifocals: a lens with two zones separated by a visible line.
